Aid Helps People Get Out of Trouble, Not Poverty

The $500 Millionaire has always told me that it is not about what happens in your life, it is about what you DO with what happens in your life.

Aid Helps People Get Out of Trouble, Not Poverty

Poverty

Everybody in society, wealthy or poor, goes through ups and downs, highs and lows, good time and bad times.  The only difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is their ability to manage their issues.  The $500 Millionaire has always told me that it is not about what happens in your life, it is about what you DO with what happens in your life.  Successful people make a decision that they will succeed no matter what the circumstance.  When they make their decision, they stay true to themselves even after the emotion of making this decision wears off and that is the $500 Millionaire’s definition of character    Truly successful people will not let themselves hit the level of poverty when they get in trouble and they know when they hit the lowest of lows only they can help themselves.

We hear about giving aid to those who need it.  We not only hear about this in today’s society, but since the beginning of time we have heard people speak about how we need to do more for the unfortunate.  Please understand that the $500 Millionaire feels that giving is one of the best parts of life and if challenges you to look at yourself to see, are you giving more to society than you are taking?  If you are giving more, good.  If you are taking more, please revaluate your lifestyle.  Also understand that this is not a political stance.  This is a stance against accepting failure as a reality and excepting anything but the best out of life.  Again, these two things are both decisions people have to make, and there is no aid in the world besides support and knowledge that will help make that decision.

Aid in this blog is defined as materialistic item (money, food, clothes, etc.). Aid does the exact opposite of help when someone has hit the level of poverty.  All aid does is help people who are in trouble, not poverty.  People in trouble might need to borrow some money, a car, ask for a favor, etc.  When someone is in trouble, the little bit of aid can help them pull themselves out of trouble.  The key part of that phrase that the $500 Millionaire wants you to understand is that all aid can do is help them PULL THEMSELVES OUT OF TROUBLE.  No aid of any kind will fix trouble without the person making a strong decision for it to be fixed.

Kool-aidWhen it comes to trouble, aid can help.  Someone looses their job, proper aid would allow their family to survive…WHILE THEY GO FIND A NOTHER JOB.  But aid can not fix that issue. All aid can do in a positive manner is give a bit of help for the person to then get back on their feet.  Any more than just the minimum amount of aid needed is not only unnecessary but it is actually a negative.  Aid is no different then a prescribed drug.  All the drug does is helps the body fight whatever issue it is having.  With too much of the drug you become addicted and reliant on it….IT IS THE SAME WITH AID.

Aid does not cure poverty.  In fact it creates more poverty.  Again, aid can only help trouble.  If your business is in trouble and you need some cash to help pay bills (pay roll, expansion, legal issues, etc.), all aid can do is help you work your ways through that.  If you are a bad test taker and you are getting bad grades, you can cheat and get a good grade but the second you do not have the ability to cheat, you are done.  When you are struggling to provide for your family, you can rely on someone else to help you, but then that person has complete and utter control of your life.  Anything they want done, will happen.  Because if not, you do not get your food.  AGAIN, aid is no issue when used in moderation but once you become reliant of aid, or addicted to aid as the $500 Millionaire says, it is no difference than any drug addiction…you can not function without it.

When someone is reliant on anything like that, no matter what the vise is, they are no longer in control of thier life.  The $500 Millionaire always reminds me that debt is nothing more than legal slavery.  The only thing worse then relying on someone for money is relying on someone for aid and the well being of you and your family.  You can survive without money, but you can not survive without the essentials in life.

Please understand that giving to charitable causes is one of the $500 Millionaire’s favorite things to do because when he donates to cancer research, the “aid” that he is giving is not going to cure the issue.  His “aid” is going to help someone the necessary resources to try to figure this out.  Giving is one of the best, and most fulfilling, things anyone can do, but make sure you are giving enough where the person is not relying on you and the person will have to take actions to eventually be independent of you.

There is a problem that it is becoming acceptable to being dependent.  People are actually made fun of and considered stupid for working “too” hard rather than looking for hand outs.  Companies are ok with basically being owned by their lender.  Students are ok with cheating to get by, and society is ok with being given things from others and allowing others to control their life.  Think about who is in control of your life.   Is it you?  Is it your lenders?  If so make a decision to change that.  Take control and start living the life you want.  Do not accept too much from anyone, but feel free to give as much as you can.  Remember, you can never give too much but taking anything you do not need or deserve, well that is just stealing.  The punishment though is not necessarily jail time as much as you are punished by loosing control of you and your family’s life.  Make your life, do not just accept it.poverty-no-accident

You’re Not Burnt Out, If You Have Never Been Lit

Workplace burnout illustrationHave you ever had someone tell,”I am burnt out,” “It is just too much,” or ” I just do not think I can handle it.” Well if you haven’t, you will, and when the $500 Millionaire hears that he usually starts laughing.  He takes no happiness in the other person’s misery but it is AMAZING to him how many people think they are “burnt out” due to “it being too much.”  If you think you are “burnt out”, the $500 Millionaire suggest to evaluate what you are doing to see if you were ever really “lit” to begin with. Once you are “lit,” it is REALLY hard to be burnt out. Remember, how can you be burnt out, if you have never really been lit?

People give up to easily and the $500 Millionaire still does not understand why.  As you have heard in past blogs, you only fail when you decide to give up.  The human body has an amazing ability to adapt to almost whatever you want to put it through.  This is very important to realize when you feel you are “burnt out”, really look back on what you are doing that is causing you to feel this way and the $500 Millionaire will bet you that there is a good amount of time you are wasting in your life.

Humans naturally thrive off of living a life of fulfillment   When the $500 Millionaire hits the bed for the night, he is as close to exhaustion as he can be and that is his favorite feeling.  The reason why is because he is constantly pushing his body and mind to do what needs to be done and more.  Being “burnt out” is strictly an excuse and a decision to admit that you are just lazy and choosing not to handle this issue.

download (2)The feeling of fulfillment is the same feeling of succes and the $500 Millionaire wants you to understand that there is NO FEELING LIKE SUCCESS…NONE.  The $500 Millionaire does not understand how they can be burnt out, but he is not.  The $500 Millionaire wakes up at 4 am EVERY DAY and works until 10 PM at night but he does not feel “burnt out.”  Marathon Runners, will run many miles a day when training and they are not “burnt out.”  Researchers push themselves and they are not “burnt out.”  Here is the Hint… SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE DO NOT GET “BURNT OUT,” there is just not enough time.  Their fire, which they have decided to create, is so strong that it is just too hard to put out, let alone burn out.

The $500 Millionaire wants to make it very clear that there is a HUGE difference between being “burnt out” and being tired or in need or rest.  The human body has to sleep and has to recover from a days work.  Like I said earlier, when the $500 Millionaire lays down to go to bed, he is beyond tired because of EVERYTHING he has done that day.  When a marathon runner finishes a race, they are VERY tired but they are not “burnt out.”

Again, being “burnt out” is an excuse that you doubt your ability to handle something.  $500 Millionaire feels that anyone who tells him they are “burnt out” and need a break has a serious character issue that they can easily work on if they want.  What the $500 Millionaire has found that once someone use this excuse, it is hard to change their mind.  Again if they want to, here is how you do it.

Life is not easy.  It is stressful, confusing,  and tiring.  In order to fully live life, you need to take care of yourself.  Successful people not only work from long days but they also are smart enough rest in small amounts when needed so they can work at the highest efficiency at all times.  Some will schedule naps throughout the day, or a day where they use to recover from the week.  The problem is these people who get “burnt out” do one of two things.  Either they 1) are just lazy and use that as an excuse, or 2) they try to over load the body without properly training it and resting it.

If I were to ask you to run a marathon and you have not been training, it would be almost impossible to run it at a reasonable pace. (The guy Marathon who it is named after, ran 26.2 miles and then died…Learn a lesson from him) But if  you have pronely prepared,  you can do it.  Think of life the same way.  You need to know and understand that life is as predictable as it is unpredictable.  There are natural laws out there just like scientific laws that if you pay attention to them, you will have a pretty good assumption to the outcome.  Although we can not predict the future, we can use the past to forecast what is to come and understand; There are no new fundamentals.

burnoutYou know life is gonna be hard and for some of us, we like to bring on as much as we can so we can get as much fulfillment as we can,  You need to take time to rest your body.  Take time to reboot,  take time to get your day in order. and take time to re-focus.   If you were to live life, drifting by and just trying to play defense every time something comes by you, you will be “burnt out” but it is not because “its too much” it is because you did not take the time to properly prepare.

If you are “burnt out” it is no one else fault but your own.  You can not blame it on a work load because other people work harder than you.  You can not blame it on sleep, because other people have slept less than you.  The $500 Millionaire suggest people who think they are “burnt out” to keep a log of what they do Hour by Hour for the entire day.  Do this fo 4 weeks and you will be amazed with the amount of time you, if you are like most people, will waste.  This one is on you, and remember that you can not be “burnt out”, if you were never “lit.”  If you do not know if you have ever been “lit,”…you haven’t and you need to get to work.

Please pass this along to anyone going through a lul in life.

Act Your Way to New Thinking

Our decisions and actions are our own.  They are one of the only things we are able to control.  Human’s are creatures of habits and routines which is why the $500 Millionaire hopes you would make it a habit to choose your habits and not just accept them.

The $500 Millionaire hates to see people who are stuck in a life of drifting where there is no real purpose.  These people are just playing defense against whatever it is life throws at them and seem to never get anywhere.  It is strange that humans will find the easiest way to get by when in reality, we thrive most when we are challenged.  When someone goes from living life accepting whatever comes their way, to living a life controlling what comes their way, life starts to become more fulfilled.  Try it yourself, if you feel that life is boring and you are just drifting, first start by making a schedule and make sure that you are busy all day long.  Even if that busyness consists of you working out, relaxing, eating, reading a book or even watching TV.   Make the  decision to control you time and start creating your habits.

wilderness7The only self defense that humans have in the wild is our intelligence.  Compared to all other species, we are not very strong, we can not run very fast, and we can not fly very high.  There is no real physical atributes that give us an advantage against other species.  It is all in our head, literally.  With that being said, the $500 Millionaire feels that the human brain, although complex to understand, is quite simple to control.  The human brain can easily be tricked by the person it “controls” (Sounds like an oxymoron but it is not).  This is why it is so important to be careful what information you feed your brain.  Crap in=Crap out.  If you put good things in, you will get good things out.  Again, the brain is very complex, but also very simple.

So the one thing the $500 Millionaire suggests you should act your way into new thinking.  Basically, you subconscious mind learns from actions and remembers EVERYTHING.  With us being creatures of habits  we just need to control what habits we teach our brain.  In order to do that you need to act as if it is real, and eventually our brain will believe it.  This is where the saying, “fake it till you make it” is a good thing.  This only works for beliefs and not physical or materialistic things.  Please no comments about how if they act like they have a million dollars, then it will appear…that is just absurd.

If you want to change the way you think, you need to change the way you act first.  Your actions are MUCH easier to change than your beliefs because the actions you decide to take, are controlled by your conscious mind.  Remember our conscious mind is controlled by us but our subconscious mind works automatically.  Although we can not directly control our subconscious mind, we can condition it by changing the actions that we take.  The subconscious brain can adapt to almost any circumstance and will if you purposely do so.  When it comes to creating a good habit or kicking a bad habit, it is all the same.  If it is smoking, eating poorly, or lack of exercise…it all starts with a choice. according to the $500 Millionaire, the truest definition of character is someone who has the ability to follow through with a decision long after the emotions of making that decision have faded.

Once you make that decision, you need to be true to yourself.  You made that decision for a reason and now you need to control you actions (for more on this please read how the Snooze Button will Stop Your Success- http://wp.me/p2trTB-90).  In order to be successful, disciplin is the one tool that will separate you from all other competition.  You are in control of you actions and your actions are what control your beliefs   If you want to change the way you think, change the way you act.  Always remember the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  The easiest thing in life for a human to control is their actions and by controlling your actions, you can control your results.

images (5)This blog is to show you that you need to start controlling what you can control.  As life goes on, you will realize every day that there is more things you can not control then there are that you can control.  You need to take conscious control of your life.  The best way to get rid of a bad habit is to create a good habit to take its spot.  It takes 21 days to create a habit, it is up to you how you would want to spend your next 3 weeks.  If the $500 Millionaire told you that you could change your life in just 3 weeks, would you do it?
